About Lund University:

Lund University was founded in 1666 and is today an international centre for research, innovation and education that has approximately 46 000 students, 6000 employees, 550 professors and 2700 research students. Lund University offers 270 study programmes and 2000 free-standing courses. The University has several world-class research areas, among them nanoscience, automatic control engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, quaternary sciences, philosophy, economic history, and diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases. Basic admission requirements
All students applying to Lund University must have, as a minimum:

Completed a school education (if applying for introduction undergraduate courses)

Begun university education (if applying for continuation undergraduate courses)

Completed university education (if applying for postgraduate studies)

Proficiency in English

Specific Admission Requirements

Courses (First level)

Introduction courses and continuation courses are at the Bachelor's level. Introduction courses require no previous academic study at university level. Continuation courses require you have already taken some, specified university courses.
Master's Programmes (Second level):

All master's programms require an undergraduate degree, usually in the same field of studies as the master's programme and which is the equivalent to a Swedish B.A/BSc.

English Requirement

IELTS (Master's studies: 6.0, with no score less than 5.0; Undergraduate studies:5.0, with no score less than 4.5)

TOEFL (Master's studies: Paper Based:550, Computer Based:213, Internet Based:79; Undergraduate studies: Paper Based:500, Computer Based:173, Internet Based:61)

Cambridge/Oxford (Master's studies: Advanced Certificate or Proficiency; Undergraduate Studies: First/Lower Cert, Grade/mark A and B (Not C)).

Range of Fees:

Tuition fees are currently not charged in Sweden. However, from August 2011 (the autumn term) Swedish universities, including Lund University, will introduce tuition fees for students from outside of the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). Lund University has now confirmed tuition fee levels, with most courses and programmes priced between 10,000~15,000 per year (in SEK: 90 000~140 000 per year). Higher prices apply to some medicine, arts and special programmes offered at Lund. An application fee of approximately 100 (SEK 900) will also be charged at all Swedish universities. Fees will be introduced for studies commencing in August 2011 (the autumn term) and onwards.
